Job Description:

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that designs comply with South African regulations and standards. You will supervise the construction of structural and civil components to guarantee compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Your role will involve working closely with contractors and construction teams to resolve any issues that arise during construction. Additionally, you will implement quality control measures to ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards. You will conduct regular inspections and tests on construction materials and structures to ensure they meet safety and quality requirements. Furthermore, you will ensure all engineering practices adhere to health and safety regulations, minimizing risk to workers and the environment. This includes developing and enforcing safety protocols specific to structural and civil engineering tasks. You will also collaborate with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and cohesive project development. Effective communication of technical information to non-technical team members and stakeholders is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure designs comply with South African regulations and standards.
  • Supervise the construction of structural and civil components.
  • Work with contractors and construction teams to resolve issues during construction.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards.

Requirements:
  • National Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Pr. Eng preferable.
  • At least 8 years of experience within mining, specifically mineral processing industry.
