We are seeking a seasoned financial reporting professional to lead our team in Sanlam Group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting, and stakeholder management.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will oversee monthly financial reporting, ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies, and manage the month-end close process. They will also analyze financial performance, assist with planning, forecasting, and budgeting, and support business combinations, statutory reporting, and audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting and consolidation of subsidiaries/associates
  • Manage the month-end close process and collaborate with the actuarial team
  • Analyze financial performance and assist with planning, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Ensure adoption and adherence to financial reporting standards across the group
  • Support business combinations, statutory reporting, and audits
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a CA (SA) qualification with at least 6 years post-articles experience. They should have strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills, as well as experience in successfully leading a team. Knowledge of IFRS17 and consolidation experience is essential.
