We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitters Team Leader to join our team at SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd. Located in Cape Town, this is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a Fitters Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Fitters department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes conducting mechanical inspections, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating repairs and maintenance tasks.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in fitting and mechanics, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a heavy industry environment. You should also have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of fitters.
In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders. You should also be physically fit and able to work at heights, as well as in confined spaces.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of R550,000 per annum, plus benefits including a provident fund, life cover, funeral cover, and 15 days' paid leave per annum. You will also be required to work overtime as needed, but this will be compensated accordingly.
