We are seeking an experienced Engineering Storeman to join our team at The Recruitment Guy in Newcastle. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the management of our engineering and mechanical workshop stores.

This is a permanent opportunity with a market-related salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Complete management of engineering / mechanical / electrical workshop stores, including issuing, recording, controlling and returning stock.
  • Procurement and buying duties, including managing suppliers and negotiating prices.
  • Stock management and control, including conducting regular stock takes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaising with administration, procurement and workshop management teams to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the store area, including shelving, bins and storage racks.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

About You:

  • A minimum 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role as an engineering storeman.
  • A tertiary qualification in a related field, such as inventory management or logistics.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
