Job Description

About the Role

Salesworx is seeking a highly skilled Debtors Clerk to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our Accounts Receivable department, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts and recovering business debt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer payments and outstanding balances
  • Communicate with clients to resolve overdue accounts and negotiate payment plans
  • Reconcile and allocate debtors accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain debtor accounts to ensure up-to-date information
  • Prepare and send statements to clients to ensure timely payment
  • Perform routine bookkeeping duties to ensure accurate financial records

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in debt recovery or a related field in the South African medical device market
  • Relevant qualification in a field such as accounting or finance
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software such as ACCPAC/Sage 300
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
