Sportsbook Representative

Initiate International is seeking a Sportsbook Agent to join their team in Johannesburg.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about sports and delivering exceptional customer service. As a Sportsbook Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling inquiries, placing bets, and sharing the latest promotions.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Inbound & Outbound Calls: Handle customer inquiries, promotions, and account queries efficiently.
• Assist with Betting: Guide customers through placing bets and provide information on betting markets.
• Promote & Upsell: Call existing customers to promote new offers, events, and betting opportunities.
• Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints professionally and ensure follow-ups are completed.
• Responsible Gambling Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies and Responsible Gambling guidelines.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate logs of customer interactions and unresolved queries.
• Cross-sell Products: Identify opportunities to introduce other betting services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 1–3 years of experience in a Call Centre environment.
• Fluency in English and one additional South African language.
• No criminal record and available to start immediately.
• Computer literate with solid telephone etiquette.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Shift Schedule

The shift schedule for this role includes:

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 14:00 – 22:00
