Job Description
  • Solar System Design and Development: Collaborate with design teams to create innovative and efficient solar system designs that meet technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Construction Management: Oversee daily construction activities to ensure timely completion, adherence to safety regulations, and high-quality results.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients, facilitating smooth communication and successful project execution.
  • Project Tracking and Budgeting: Monitor project progress, track quantities, costs, and timelines, and assist in managing budgets while resolving any delays or cost issues.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and review essential project documents, including technical reports, submittals, drawings, and other critical materials, ensuring proper documentation for all adjustments.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining a culture of excellence and quality.
  • Project Close-out: Support final inspections, system commissioning, and testing to ensure projects meet design specifications and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Project Management Tools and Design Software: Proficiency in PVsyst, PVsol, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong Contract Knowledge and Documentation Skills: Excellent contract management and documentation skills.
  • Solar System Design and Construction Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in project engineering, ideally with utility-scale solar projects.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Qualifications

BEng/BSc/BTech/Advanced Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering. Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
