The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement specialist to procure goods and services for our sales area, in accordance with Sandvik policies and procedures and in line with targets set in terms of on-time delivery, pricing, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Source quotations for the procurement of goods and services in accordance with the procurement policy.">
  3. Confirm suppliers are BBBEE compliant and analyse quality and pricing of services/goods.">
  4. Review request for purchase orders to ensure that the Sandvik requirements are met prior to submitting for approval by the relevant Cost Center Manager.">
  5. Conduct follow-ups to ensure goods and services have been received; liaise with the supplier on any late or non-deliveries.">
  6. Expedite purchase orders to ensure all purchase orders are closed timeously.">
  7. Determine the purchasing plan for a specific procurement requirement i.e. complexity, spend, and risk factors, in conjunction with global category management.">
  8. Draft request for proposals, coordinate the evaluation of proposals, prepare recommendation for approval by the Procurement Committee.">
  9. Review list of suppliers and ensure data integrity on the supplier relationship management database.">
  10. Conduct negotiations on pricing during supplier contracts drafting.">
  11. Coordinate the drafting of the supplier contract using the standard templates for contracts and submit for review by Procurement Manager.">
  12. Monitor the success of supplier contracts and report on savings and supplier performance.">
