Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Owner Driver to join our team at Buffalo International Logistics. As an Owner Driver, you will be responsible for operating your own vehicle to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that your vehicle is in good working condition at all times, including regular inspections, servicing, and repairs as needed.
  • Safety: Operate your vehicle safely at all times, following traffic laws and regulations, and ensure that your vehicle is equipped with safety features and that you use them appropriately.
  • Compliance: Comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing the logistics industry, including those related to licensing, permits, insurance, and taxation.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, including being punctual, courteous, and professional in your interactions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of your work, including invoices, receipts, logbooks, and any other relevant paperwork.
  • Financial Management: Manage your finances effectively, including budgeting, invoicing, tracking expenses, and ensuring that you are paid promptly for your services.
  • Time Management: Plan your routes and schedules efficiently to maximize your productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Adherence to Industry Standards: Adhere to industry standards and guidelines, including those related to freight handling, food safety, and hazardous materials.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders, including being responsive to messages and keeping others informed of any issues or delays.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of driving experience
  • Driver's license must be 6+ years old or older
  • Must be above 30 years old
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak well
  • Must have worked in a courier/logistics company
  • Basic tech knowledge
  • Have a smartphone (Android or iOS)
  • Must have your own vehicle (preferred but not compulsory)
  • Knowledge of route planning
  • Understanding of customer service and customer satisfaction
