About the RoleThe primary objective of this position is to deliver service excellence through the provision of professional and knowledgeable advice on beauty and skincare products. This includes consulting with customers, answering product-based questions, and advising on selecting the best products that meet their needs.
To achieve this, you will be expected to drive and maximise sales of the beauty department by promoting, cross-selling, and up-selling. You will also be responsible for monitoring sales, regularly evaluating the performance of products, and offering suggestions that result in improved product offerings and increased sales.
A key aspect of this role is to maintain updated knowledge on all beauty products, ranges, trends, promotions, and events. This ensures that you can provide accurate information to customers at all times.
You will be required to efficiently execute all operational activities within the beauty department, including effective stock management, minimising shrinkage, and ensuring a high standard of general housekeeping and administration.
In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring all in-store visual merchandising, in-store presentation, and promotional standards within the beauty department are consistently met.
This role requires you to deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible, and offering a friendly and professional service.
You will also be expected to promote the Clicks clubcard and enrol new clubcard members to achieve clubcard participation targets.
Furthermore, you will need to increase profitability and brand loyalty with customers by promoting private label and exclusive products.
This position requires you to facilitate the brand being the customer's first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company values.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you should possess a desirable background in beauty/skincare/retail/FMCG or sales/marketing environments. It is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
You must be able to communicate confidently and persuasively, both verbally and in writing. Additionally, you should have excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
Prior experience in sales or marketing is advantageous, but not essential. What is crucial is your passion for beauty products, your enthusiasm for helping people look and feel good, and your confidence in engaging and communicating with customers about our beauty products.
