Reports To: Assistant Principal or Principal

Purpose of Role:

As a Senior Phase isiZulu Educator, you will drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behaviour, and academic growth for all scholars.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and co-teaching face-to-face and distance lessons, as well as developing and administering formative and termly assessments to track student progress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reading, writing, and speaking isiZulu, as well as experience in leading an integrated inquiry-based curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of scholars.
  • Develop and implement individualised behaviour and learning plans to support scholar growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop rigorous learning experiences and share best practices.
  • Conduct regular assessments and analyses to inform instruction and drive scholar success.
  • Lead scholar social and emotional development through CQ sessions and reflections.
Requirements:
  • B.Ed or PGCE degree in isiZulu Home Language Senior/FET or isiZulu First Additional Language Senior/FET.
  • Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience, preferably in Grd 11 and Grd 12.
  • SACE registration and a clear/clean criminal record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
