  • Overseeing the financial management and reporting of the business, including the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Monitoring and controlling all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the business.
  • Assisting the General Manager in establishing local policies, rules, and internal controls to ensure profitability and control of operations.
  • Overseeing the Treasurer function, including cash planning and reviewing the cash position on a weekly basis to optimize the use of funds and minimize cash being held in the business.
  • Maintaining close liaison with external and internal auditors and ensuring effective action on their recommendations.
  • Responsible for monitoring all budgets and reporting major deviations from approved budgets.
  • Ensuring all taxes are paid and related reports are filed on a timely basis.
  • Reviewing changes in tax laws and accounting policies and implementing necessary changes.
  • Recruiting, training, developing, disciplining, and evaluating the finance team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in an international chain environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including budgeting, financial closure, and reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
