Job Description:

ATM Technical Power (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Crane and Hoist Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment.

You will conduct regular inspections of cranes and hoists to identify any defects or potential hazards, and provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance. You will also ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and up-to-date.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in the inspection and testing of lifting equipment. They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of cranes and hoists
  • Identify defects or potential hazards and provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and up-to-date
  • Client liaison and communication
  • Preparation of detailed reports and documentation

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate (advantage)
  • Lifting Machinery Certificate
  • LMI registration with relevant authority
  • 5 years' experience within the lifting machinery industry
  • Complete knowledge of lifting equipment
  • Medicals must be in order and have good health
  • Valid Driver's Licence

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Possession of relevant industry certifications
