As a High Voltage Infrastructure Engineer at Enerven Energy Infrastructure Pty, you'll have the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects that shape the energy landscape of South Australia.

About the Role

You'll join our Transmission Lines Maintenance team, where you'll work under the direction of your Team Leader or Supervisor to carry out duties related to the construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of overhead transmission systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and constructing Overhead Transmission assets
  • Project work – Including conductor replacement and removals, insulator and hardware replacement, tower and pole repairs and upgrades, new line builds, stringing new lines, new pole and tower installation etc.
  • You will be trained in, and conduct, live line and bare hand works

Many of our projects are situated in South Australia, covering both metropolitan and regional areas. Depending on the project, you may need to work away from home for extended periods, often ranging from a single night to up to 11 days on larger regional assignments. We provide generous travel allowances and double time over-time rates.

You'll be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to working safely, as well as the ability to learn new skills and adapt to evolving standards, systems, and technologies. As a team player, you'll foster collaboration and seek solutions rather than problems.

To excel in this position, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Cert III in Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) – Transmission Overhead is highly valued
  • We'll consider applications from individuals with Cert III in ESI - Distribution who are willing to pursue their Transmission certification
  • SA Electrical License (or ability to obtain one)
  • Current SA driver's license - car and/or heavy vehicle
  • Experience working safely using Live Line techniques and methods is advantageous but not mandatory (you must be willing to work towards Live Stick and Barehand qualifications)
  • High Voltage Switching experience is beneficial but not essential
