We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Architect to join our team at Data Centrix. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale enterprise networks.

About the Role

This is a key position that requires strong technical skills and experience in network design, implementation, and support of large enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design: You will be responsible for designing and implementing networks that meet the business needs of our clients. This includes building networks that take into consideration numerous factors like bandwidth requirements, infrastructure requirements, and security.
  • Network Security: You will implement secure WIFI infrastructure, configure and implement intrusion detection systems, next generation firewalls, and virtual private networks. You will also analyze and report computer network security breaches or attempted breaches.
  • Manage Network Switches and Connectivity: You will manage internet fault reporting and link maintenance, act as secondary contact with Networks, develop and disseminate procedure guidelines for management of all relevant systems, provision and management of high bandwidth network, maintain virtual network (VPN), manage and plan maintenance of the campus wide computer network, conduct routine inspections of the network and network equipment, assist with configuration of LUNs on SAN systems, and configure FC SAN switches.
  • Provide Infrastructure Support: You will perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems, support the development, management, and configuration of network operational monitoring tools, configure and define parameters for installation or testing of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Access Points (APs), Routers, Switches, Controllers, multiplexers, or related networking equipment, manage and maintain external and internal IP allocations, monitor network performance and integrity, maintain complete network infrastructure documentation, perform on-going analysis of network and service resilience, troubleshoot issues related to the network infrastructure, install or repair network cables, including fibre optic cables, upgrade the network equipment from time to time, manage DHCP accounts on the DHCP servers, and manage and maintain RADIUS systems.
Requirements
  • Higher Certificate in IT or Related Fields (NQF Level 5)
  • CCNA or Equivalent Industry Certificate
  • 8 Years Experience in Network Design, Implementation, and Support of Large Enterprise Networks
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per annum, based on national averages in South Africa. However, this can vary depending on your location, level of experience, and qualifications.
