Job Description

The role of the Internal Audit Manager at Edge Executive Search is to provide assurance and consulting services to our clients. This position requires a highly skilled professional with experience in internal auditing, risk management, and process improvement.

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor to lead our team of internal auditors. As an Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on audits. You will also be required to build relationships with stakeholders, coach and mentor junior staff members, and represent the company on project teams and steering committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and report on internal audits
  • Develop comprehensive audit programs and procedures
  • Provide authoritative expertise and advice on process design and improvement
  • Build effective business relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor junior staff members
  • Represent the company on project teams and steering committees

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a BCom Honours or equivalent degree in Commerce (i.e., Accounting or Internal Auditing), as well as a post-graduate professional designation such as a Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor. A minimum of three years' experience in financial services related internal audit is required, as well as three years' experience in internal audit management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with proven people management abilities and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.AAML experience is highly desirable.
