Job DescriptionJob Summary

The Health and Safety Coordinator Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's health and safety programs in accordance with SHE legislation. This role will ensure that all employees are trained on safety procedures and protocols, and that all workplaces are safe and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Programs: Create and implement comprehensive health and safety programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Training and Compliance: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure all employees understand and follow safety procedures and protocols.
  • Workplace Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Site, Safety and Compliance:
  • Compliance Audit: Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure the company is meeting all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and compliance activities.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Identify and manage potential risks to employee health and safety.
Employee Well-being:
  • Wellness Plan: Develop and implement an employee wellness plan to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Conduct training needs analysis to identify areas where employees require additional training or support.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: National Diploma: Safety Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Benefits and Remuneration

The salary range for this position is R200,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical aid, pension fund, and life insurance.
