Tax Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced tax accountant to join our team at JenRecruitment in Brackenfell, Cape Town.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of expertise in taxation accounting and a tertiary qualification in accounting. Our client is a tax and accountancy firm based in the Northern Suburbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals and companies.
  • Process monthly/annual accounts using QBO/Xero or Sage.
  • Submit VAT 201 returns promptly and ensure completeness of general ledger, trial balance, and final adjustments for financial statements.
  • Prepare working papers, company tax calculations, and finalize annual financial statements and tax returns on e-filing.
  • Monitor and prepare individual client tax returns skillfully.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Taxation Accounting Firm or SARS.
  • Residency in the Northern Suburbs is essential.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • A Tertiary Accounting qualification is mandatory.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Afrikaans are required.
  • The salary range is between R25,000 – R30,000 based on experience.
