We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to join their team, responsible for crafting and maintaining highly responsive and user-friendly interfaces for clients.

About the Role

As a key member of the development team, you will focus on developing polished frontend solutions for critical applications, ensuring they are intuitive, efficient, and visually appealing. You will collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers to optimize user experiences and refine frontend functionalities.

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the organization's mission to build software that positively impacts the development trajectory of low- and middle-income countries for generations to come.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new frontend features and enhancements, prioritizing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Own the frontend codebase, including architecture, design, and maintenance, to ensure consistency and quality across the team.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in frontend design and development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms like AWS and technologies like Docker and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with web libraries like React.
  • Knowledge of front-end typing libraries like Flow or TypeScript.
  • Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks like Jest.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
