About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Security Strategist to spearhead our information security efforts. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies that align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Information Security Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust security frameworks that ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective countermeasures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Security Technology Implementation: Oversee the deployment and management of cutting-edge security technologies and protocols to safeguard our organization's sensitive information.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure seamless adherence to regulatory requirements, including ISO 27001 and GDPR, to maintain our organization's reputation and trust.
  • Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing risks to our business operations.
  • Staff Training and Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate employees on information security best practices and awareness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with IT teams and other departments to integrate security into all aspects of our business processes.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates on security performance, incidents, and risks to senior management, informing strategic decision-making.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in information security management or related roles.
  • An in-depth understanding of security frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in security tools, technologies, and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
