We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal Recoveries to join our team at Pinpoint One Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage an end-to-end legal recoveries capability that is recognized as a valuable and strategic function of the bank.
  • Maximize cost-effective recoveries and support the retail and business and corporate banking strategy.
  • Maintain acceptable Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) percentage in relation to the loan book.
  • Manage legal risks of the Bank and manage the legal recoveries process as well as external service providers' performance.
  • Draft and vet various types of agreements pertaining to the legal recovery process.
Requirements:
  • Admission as an attorney or admitted Advocate having served pupillage.
  • 8+ years experience in legal recoveries/debt collection environment, including operating in a banking environment at a senior management level.
  • 8+ years experience in restructuring of distressed accounts.
  • Understanding of legislation, policies, procedures, and business environment related to recovery processes.
  • Understanding of insolvency and business rescue legislation and practices in South Africa.
  • Familiarity with systems (SAP, ICT).
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Must be willing to work on-site 3 days a week at head office based in Centurion area.
