About the Role

At UMass Memorial Health, we're seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Maternity Department. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare the Operating Room for cases, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
2. Assist the operative team during procedures, anticipating their needs and providing support as required.
3. Pass and track instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
4. Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of an accredited school of surgical technology with a valid certification from a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body.
• Thorough knowledge of surgical technology principles and practices.
