We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to work with us at West Coast Personnel in the plant machinery industry. The role involves assembling, fitting, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance and functionality. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and performing routine maintenance to prevent downtime. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills. A commitment to safety, precision, and high-quality workmanship is essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of plant machinery
  • Upgrading and modifying existing machinery
  • Machining & manufacturing of parts as required
  • Maintain minimum waste percentages in workshop within the prescribed target
  • Ensure that ISO best practices are adhered to
  • Ensure that safe work procedures are followed
