Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine analytical techniques related to established sample preparation and fire assay procedures.
  • Receive samples from security guards and verify seal numbers with those on the way bill.
  • Sort and box samples when received.
  • Collect samples from Sample Receiving for weighing.
  • Perform weighing, drying, and crushing of samples as required by client instructions.
  • Split, pulverize, and box samples in Sample Prep and perform screen checks.
  • Screen samples for PSA.
  • Discard samples as needed.
  • Perform weighing, fluxing, fusion, and cupelling processes within Fire Assay.
  • Punctuality is essential at all times.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met regarding turnaround time commitments.
  • Report daily production figures to the shift/team leader.
