A dynamic opportunity exists for a Senior Pharmacist to lead the Pharmacy services at Life Kingsbury Hospital, reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager.

  • Critical Outputs:

  • Effective Medication Risk Management

    1. Develop and implement remedial actions for medication incidents, ensuring timely completion of root cause analysis and trends analysis with the Pharmacy Manager.
    2. Implement and maintain effective antimicrobial stewardship and clinical pharmacy services, enabling the pharmacy to reach AMS group targets and provide quality pharmaceutical care.

  • Effective Customer Satisfaction Management

    1. Manage the ethical product issuing and replenishment process, ensuring high customer service levels to wards and theatre.
    2. Participate in annual company pharmacy customer satisfaction survey, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.

  • Effective Financial and Asset Management

    1. Review daily stock cover template, ensuring adequate coverage according to target, and inform doctors, theatres, and wards of alternative products available in supplier out-of-stock situations.
    2. Reduce dead stock according to target, participating in cycle counts and stock takes, and investigating variances.
    3. Manage operational efficiencies impacting cost of sales (e.g., open orders, negative stock).
    4. Ensure accurate billing through effective item master and stock location maintenance.

  • Effective People Management

    1. Recruit, retain, motivate, and develop staff according to LHC people policies and practices.
    2. Provide direction and inspire positive work behavior in the team.
    3. Comply with LHC WSP requirements and ensure all pharmacists are compliant with SAPC CPD requirements.
    4. Manage poor performance, comply with JPM requirements, and ensure succession planning.
