Main Duties

  • Ensure precise crimping of wire contacts to adhere to strict quality standards.
  • Insert wires accurately into connectors to prevent errors.
  • Efficiently harness and sleeve wires to create a uniform loom, adhering to established best practices.
  • Accurately assemble wires to form a functional loom or wiring harness, relying on detailed work specifications and guidelines.
  • Execute wire runs in accordance with designated lists.
  • Optimize cable routing on loom boards.
  • Support the installation of looms into final products.
  • Apply soldering techniques to secure components as necessary.
  • Use heat guns to seal sleeves over looms or harnesses effectively.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in operating hand tools, including heat guns, glue guns, and soldering irons.
  • Thorough understanding of electronic, wiring, and component concepts.
  • Experience with soldering small components and wiring.

Additional Requirements

  • Matric Certificate is a requirement.
  • Citizenship of the RSA is necessary.
  • A clear police record is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and personal vehicle is preferable for daily travel.
