Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Project Management: Ensure all projects adhere to compliance standards, managing them in strict adherence to FIDIC & JBCC guidelines.
  2. Resource Verification: Verify the resources required for project completion.
  3. Cost Estimation: Calculate and estimate project costs effectively.
  4. Communication and Team Management: Effectively communicate and manage agreed project deliverables within the project team.
  5. Mitigation Planning: Create mitigation plans for development.
  6. Contingency Planning: Formulate contingency plans to address strikes and labor disruptions.
  7. Health and Safety Focus: Emphasize a robust focus on LTIFR (Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate) and TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate).
  8. Compliance and Document Control: Ensure compliance with document control and data storage protocols.
  9. Project Closure: Supervise the closure of projects and conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure comprehensive finalization after project handover.

Skills & Experience

  1. Minimum 7-10 years' experience in the electrical or instrumentation industry as Site Manager or Project Manager.
  2. Contract management experience essential.
  3. Understanding of OHS Act legislation beneficial.
  4. QA training (ISO 9001).
  5. Safety training.
  6. Excellent communication skills and business sense.
  7. Able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

BSC/BEng/BTech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
