Job Title: Engineering Draughtsman – Solidworks

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Draughtsman to join our team at Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate new drawings using CAD in 3-D, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Contribute to the design and development process for new components, providing technical input and expertise.
  • Provide technical assistance to colleagues and management as required.
  • Identify and report anomalies on customer-supplied drawings to management for review and change.
  • Update drawing changes on the drawing change history record, maintaining a accurate and up-to-date record.
  • Support the Drawing Office Manager in their duties, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Generate detail drawings for manufacturing, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Perform general office administration tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Carry out duties as required by Management, including special projects and tasks.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, implementing changes and best practices to enhance the team's efficiency and productivity.
  • Run FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to calculate stresses and deflection within manufactured products, providing critical insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong foundation in CAD design and drafting.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks, with experience in generating 3-D models and drawings.
  • Competence in FEA Analysis, with the ability to interpret results and provide recommendations.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in draughting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
