Laboratory Analyst

Pro Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses to ensure the quality and safety of our biogas plant operations.

• Collect and analyze samples from feedstock, digester, and effluent to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine testing of chemical and biological parameters, including pH, COD, VFA, TS, VS, TKN, and Ammonia.
• Analyze gas composition in biogas using gas chromatographs or other appropriate instruments.
• Monitor the performance of anaerobic digesters and assist in troubleshooting plant issues based on laboratory findings.
• Conduct microbial assessments of the digester using techniques like microscopy or molecular biology (if applicable).
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory results and input them into databases or plant management systems.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance, highlighting any deviations from expected parameters.
• Assist in preparing reports for regulatory compliance and audits.

• Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in a biogas, wastewater treatment, or similar industrial process.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as titration, spectrophotometry, and gas chromatography.
• Familiarity with anaerobic digestion processes and biogas production is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and analyzing data.
• Good communication skills for reporting findings to the plant manager and operations team.
