About this position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Media Specialist to join our team at TFG (The Foschini Group). As a key member of our content production team, you will be responsible for managing the creation of engaging digital content for all Sportscene platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop and implement a content strategy that drives engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Brand Alignment: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all content produced is aligned with Sportscene's cultural vision.
  • Studio Management: Manage Sportscene Studios in Cape Town and Johannesburg, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality production.
  • Event Planning: Plan and produce culture-led experiences and events that engage our community and elevate Sportscene's brand presence.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams including merchandising, brand, and social media to deliver content that supports Sportscene's overall business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital content production, with a proven track record of creating impactful, culturally relevant content.
  • Experience working in fashion, streetwear, or youth-driven brands is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, video production, and social media tools.
  • Strong understanding of streetwear culture, sneaker trends, and the South African youth market.

  • Content Creation: Ability to develop and implement a content strategy that drives engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of video production, editing software, and content creation tools.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
