We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Manitou Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the Technical and Product Support Team and related activities with a direct report to the Aftersales Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project management, with experience in similar roles or proven Machinery OEM experience.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring that customer/engineering projects are delivered on time, to the required quality standard and to customer satisfaction.
  • Making informed decisions on technical queries, warranties both internally & from customers.
  • Developing a strategy to assist with dealer development specifically with regards to technical capability.
  • Maintenance of organisational KPI's on dealer ticket system, 8x8 assist line and warranties.
  • Managing the 'War Room' function (telematics control centre) to improve machine availability within the MEA Region.
  • Utilising SolidWorks to conceptualise machine attachments and create fabrication drawings.
  • Budgeting in line with group procedures to ensure cost saving in areas of responsibility.

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMP, CAPM) or equivalent advantageous.
  • Engineering Council of South Africa registered engineer.
