Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Specialist to join our team at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in plumbing, with specific experience in the hospital or healthcare sector.

  • Maintenance and Repairs:
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the hospital facility, including sinks, toilets, showers, and medical gas systems.

Responsibilities :

  1. Installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications and plumbing codes, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  2. Inspection, maintenance, and repair of medical gas systems, including oxygen, nitrogen, and vacuum systems, to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
  3. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, leaks, and water damage incidents to minimize disruption to hospital operations and prevent damage to property.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure all plumbing work adheres to safety regulations, infection control protocols, and hospital policies to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of plumbing maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, including documentation of equipment specifications and warranties.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with other maintenance staff, engineers, and hospital personnel to coordinate plumbing work with other departments and support seamless operations.
