The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of an organization by ensuring timely payments from customers and reconciling AR statements. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to minimize outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate and send accurate and timely statements of accounts or required reports to customers.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and past due accounts, with e-mails and calls.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and discrepancies related to accounts receivable.
- Implement collection strategies to minimize outstanding receivables and reduce delinquency.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis, cash flow projections, and collection effectiveness metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in the accounts receivable function.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
