The client is an asset management company that focuses on value-oriented and event-driven strategies in global equity markets, with a strong presence in Europe.

Founded in 2005, the company has operations in London, New York, and Milan, working closely with senior professionals to identify and develop investment ideas.

Our team collaborates with management teams, boards of directors, and other key stakeholders to achieve sustainable long-term value.

Job Requirements

  • Collaborate with the CFO and a small UK-based team of accountants to deliver the finance function for a group of 4 entities.
  • Process Accounts Payable (Manco and fund).
  • Work with fund administration to settle fund payments.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable.
  • Recharge expenses and research to the funds (RPA).
  • Create management accounts and year-end audit reports - Start to finish.
  • Conduct year-end audits including financial statements.
  • Process fund accounts related to expenses paid, including accruals/forecasting.
  • Prepare partner reporting, forecasting Profit and Loss, Cash flows, and Regulatory capital for up to 3 years.
  • Including detailed expense and income budgets per month per supplier/service.
  • Coordinate interactions with local suppliers on items that feed above.
  • Manage payroll, corporate tax, VAT, brokers on insurance and benefits, and company secretarial support.
  • Provide transfer pricing support/reviews for UK, USA, and ITA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial degree, preferably CA registered (SAICA beneficial).
  • At least 8 years' experience in a financial accounting/management accounting role, responsible for delivering comprehensive management accounting outputs.
  • Experience working in an investment or asset management firm beneficial, as well as management level in an auditing firm.
  • Mindset to systematize and automate processes.
  • Independent worker able to think critically and come up with creative solutions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to implement controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills, database knowledge advantageous.
