About the Company:

Our client is a leading Direct Marketing company with a wealth of experience in direct selling and became an industry leader within 5 years of starting the business. Selling high-quality household goods through a network of agents that deal directly with the end user.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team, who will report into the Finance Manager, and you will have 5 direct reports (Accountant, Stock Controller, Debtors & Creditors Clerk and an Administrator).

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Preparation of Financial & Operational Reports, Consolidation of Annual Budget, and Preparation and submission of Statutory Returns.
• Financial Management: Working closely with the CFO, FM, Accountant, and Credit Control staff members to ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Cash Flow Management: Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, and establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
• Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of financial management reports, and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in the company ERP system.
• Accounting Operations: Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities, and develop and maintain financial databases.
• Internal Audits: Work with internal and external auditors on financial audits, and ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Relevant Degree, Bcom Accounting with completed Articles.
• Experience: Min 5-10 years working experience in a similar role.
• Computer Literacy: Computer literacy in Sage Accounting, MS Work, and Excel.
