The Ideal Candidate

  • N4 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering – Trade Tested or similar qualification.
  • Experience in injection molding machines (Engel) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a factory maintenance environment.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular checks on stock levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Analyze trends in breakdowns and recommend improvements to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Participate in emergency response teams and complete repair work efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on new projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate completion of maintenance schedules and records.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and quality in all work activities.
  • Provide expert advice on maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance management.
