The Pharmaceutical Buyer will be responsible for procuring materials and finished goods to meet production and sales requirements within the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials and finished goods at competitive pricing.
- Review material requirement reports and replenishment orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage safety stock levels and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Expedite and follow up on deliveries to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Generate reports to monitor low stocks and backorders, and implement actions to rectify stock levels.
- Collaborate with planners to reschedule orders and prevent stock imbalances.
- Source and evaluate vendors to ensure high-quality products and services.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification
- Purchasing or procurement diploma or higher
- 3 years of experience as a buyer in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or pharmaceutical company
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Oracle experience is an advantage
