About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team as a Managing Director at Duke Corporate Education. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing client solutions, and leading a team of professionals in delivering high-quality programs to meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Build and manage a client portfolio with overall accountability for portfolio success, driving commercial performance, and ensuring quality solution design and delivery.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business with existing clients and new prospects, drive business development activity through networking, and deliver high-quality pitches.
  • Client Relationship Management: Provide excellent client relationship management to key client stakeholders, building a personal brand, and being viewed as a trusted and reliable thought leader and partner.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team through targeted work experience, coaching, and feedback, creating a productive and satisfying team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required.
  • Experience: Prior project and client management experience in a senior-level role in a human capital development environment, preferably with instructional design, consulting, and/or facilitation skills.
  • Business Acumen: Proven business development capability to identify potential clients and lead business growth in a revenue-generating role, with experience in RFPs and pitches.
  • Leadership: Executive presence, projecting confidence and poise under pressure, and demonstrating gravitas with stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen in areas of budgeting, pricing, forecasting, profit & loss, and reporting, preferably with previous experience of managing a P&L.
  • Integrity: Operates with integrity, considering legal and ethical sides of situations, and mitigating risks.
  • Network Development: Network development abilities, having established and leveraged external networks as a means to develop business, and internal networks to complete work efficiently.
  • Team Leadership: Experience of leading and developing teams, bringing energy and motivation as a leader of people.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with agility to write compelling thought-pieces and business development proposals.
