At West Coast Personnel, we are committed to providing a challenging and rewarding work environment for our employees. As a Property Law Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our Conveyancing Department in its mission to deliver high-quality legal services to our clients.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support in conveyancing matters, including bond registrations, property transactions, and other related activities. You will also be required to liaise with clients, agents, and other stakeholders to bring in new work and maintain existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of conveyancing documents, including bond registrations and transfer deeds.
  • Collaborate with clients, agents, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Manage a caseload of conveyancing matters, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Support senior attorneys and other legal professionals within the firm in the delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Develop and grow business opportunities, including expanding relationships with agents and clients to generate new work for the firm.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential:
    • LLB degree from a recognized institution.
    • Admitted Attorney (South African qualification).
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively liaise with clients, agents, and other legal professionals.
    • BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) candidate as per company requirements.
  • Experience:
    • No prior experience is required this role is ideal for a newly qualified attorney looking to grow their career in a supportive environment.
    • Prior experience in conveyancing is not a requirement, although an interest in property law is advantageous.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
