Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial plans that align with our business objectives.
  • Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and expenditure control to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage reconciliations between accounting systems and unit reports, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Resolve variances and ensure monthly general ledger reconciliations meet required standards.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial information.
  • Assist with audit processes, including financial and BEE audits, to maintain our reputation for transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure proper asset management, contract administration, and financial record-keeping, maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Manage the debtors book to ensure collections and minimize financial risk, promoting a culture of responsibility and accountability.
  • Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and policies, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive financial innovation and technology integration, leveraging cutting-edge tools and techniques to enhance our financial capabilities.
  • Lead and manage a team including payroll, credit control, and financial analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and succession planning for key roles, developing talent and expertise within our organization.
Requirements
  • Strong financial planning, analysis, and budgeting abilities, with experience in financial leadership roles.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • High-level problem-solving and strategic thinking, with the ability to drive innovation and growth.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, operational support tools, and advanced MS Office, with experience in financial software and systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to manage risk and implement cost-effective financial policies, promoting a culture of prudence and responsibility.
  • Performance-driven with a proactive approach to business growth, with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a financial role, preferably in the service industry.
  • Experience managing teams of 15+ staff members, including senior roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Valid drivers license and own vehicle, with the ability to travel as required.
Qualifications
  • CA(SA), CIMA, BCompt, or BCom Accounting degree, with a strong academic background in finance and accounting.
  • SAIPA or SAICA registration preferred, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and certification.
