About the JobThe successful candidate will have hands-on experience with various security tools and platforms, as well as the development and implementation of secure networks and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, Implement, and Maintain Security Infrastructure: Develop and implement secure network designs, configure firewalls, and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
- Conduct Regular System Tests and Ensure Continuous Monitoring: Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities, conduct penetration testing, and develop technical solutions to automate repeatable tasks.
- Develop and Implement Technical Solutions: Utilize programming languages such as Python, Perl, SQL, Ruby, or Go to develop custom scripts and tools for security-related tasks.
- Respond to Security Breaches: Establish protocols and procedures for responding to security breaches, train staff on network and information security procedures, and work closely with the IT department to select and deploy technical controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or similar.
- Proven work experience as an Information Security Engineer or similar role.
- Candidates should come from a strong technical IT background with solid experience in Linux and/or network administration.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
