Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Director to join our team at Link. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting and financial activities of Africa, Middle East and Central/West Asia, 9 countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate and timely management reports to identify results, trends, contract profitability and financial forecasts.
  • Manage cash flow and treasury through regular forecasting, ensuring the company's financial stability.
  • Supervise, manage and develop the Finance Department staff to ensure they are motivated and developing in their professional standards.
  • Optimise the utilisation of accounting and reporting systems throughout the business to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial transactions, complying with government regulations and legislation.
  • Lead the auditing processes with external auditors and financial service providers to ensure proper compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Produce yearly Statutory Accounts, providing a clear picture of the company's financial position.
  • Lead the company's annual budgeting, planning and forecasting process, making informed strategic decisions.
  • Submit Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide key business insight to aid strategic decision making and formulate business strategies.
  • Communicate financial data effectively to non-financial managers, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with other function managers to build awareness and accountability for functional budgets.
  • Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls across the organisation.

Skills Required:

  • CA (or equivalent) qualification or similar with minimum 10 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely management reports.
  • Familiarity with Sales Taxes and cross border trading, including completion of regulatory returns.
  • Experience working across multiple territories in a fast-moving global business.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Able to manage a small team, ensuring they are motivated and developing in their professional standards.
  • Calm under pressure, managing multiple demands and tight deadlines in a dynamic business environment.
