About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Development Team Lead to join our team at JenRec Recruitment. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our mobile applications and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of Android developers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines.
    • Recruit, select, and orient new team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
    • Assign tasks and projects to team members and monitor their progress to ensure that they are meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Application Planning and Development
    • Plan, design, and develop mobile applications that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
    • Research and analyze application needs and designs to ensure that they are aligned with business objectives.
    • Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code to meet system requirements and technical specifications.
    • Test, debug, and diagnose errors and faults in applications to ensure that they perform to specification.
  • Project Planning and Capacity Management
    • Estimate accurate completion timelines for projects and provide input into requirements documentation.
    • Manage time and tasks effectively to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Quality Management and Compliance
    • Ensure that mobile applications are developed accurately and efficiently to meet quality and performance standards.
    • Ensure compliance with quality management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • BSc in Computer Science or Engineering or other applicable technical discipline.
  • Experience
    • 7+ years of working experience in mobile development.
    • 2+ years of experience in managing a team of developers.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Development of mobile software for a hardware product.
    • Android (Java/Kotlin) development.
    • Reactive programming.
    • Modular code design principles.
    • Restful API integration.
    • Git.
    • Agile knowledge and experience.
    • Knowledge of Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence).
