Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Communicate Recruitment. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including inventory costing and work in progress, on a monthly basis.
  • Process and record adjustment journals with approval to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and report on monthly management accounts to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Perform day-end, month-end, and year-end procedures on SYSPRO to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage expense provisions and Nedfleet to ensure compliance with company standards and legislation.
  • Load payments on the bank and ensure internal controls for creditors to prevent financial losses.
  • Oversee and manage the Creditors team and Clerks to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Handle petty cash processing and manage recordkeeping and filing to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure internal controls at branches are compliant with company standards and legislation to prevent financial losses.
  • Update and reconcile fixed asset registers and process monthly depreciation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare profit and loss schedules for asset sales or write-offs to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Handle purchase documents for new assets and manage Instalment Sales Agreements to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual audit file and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in preparing and capturing the annual budget and reviewing variances to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Manufacturing sector, particularly with bill of materials (BOMs) and inventory work in progress.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience as an Accountant in the Manufacturing or Retail industry.
  • Proficiency in Syspro is advantageous.
  • Strong personality with excellent communication skills.
  • B.Com Accounting or Management Accounting degree.
