Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Protection Expert to join our team at EXL in Cape Town. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for protecting our infrastructure from cyber threats and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and manage security controls for on-premise and cloud systems (Office 365, Azure).
  2. Ensure patching and security mechanisms are effective, investigating and escalating issues when needed.
  3. Conduct security reviews and manage metrics for confidentiality, integrity, and compliance.
  4. Gather and analyze data to diagnose and resolve complex IT security issues.
  5. Create security reports for internal and external audits.
  6. Identify trends and proactively address potential security risks.
  7. Support internal and external audits, including penetration testing.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Security.
  • Solid knowledge of security processes, cloud environments, and on-premise systems (Windows PC & Server).
  • Experience with information security risks, controls, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, COS, ISO27001).
  • Minimum 3 years in IT security, infrastructure, or technology architecture.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices, compliance, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
