Key Responsibilities:- Perform specialised maintenance tasks on transformers, switchgear, and related power plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards by implementing and enforcing relevant procedures and protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders by responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Qualification(s): Artisan (dry trade) Trade Certificate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering at NQF4 with credits.
- Related Minimum Experience: 3 years of practical experience in a technical environment, specifically in power distribution.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and competencies:
- Behavioural Skills: Strong interpersonal relations and integrity, with a customer-centric and professional approach.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to work as a team player and lead a team, with coaching and empowering skills to achieve common goals.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Eskom standards, procedures, directives, and guidelines, with in-depth knowledge of power plant-specific transformers, auxiliary systems, and switchgear.
- Technical Skills: Valid driver's license code EB, authorisation for outcome five switching up to 33kV, and truck driving skills.
