We are currently seeking a skilled Geotechnical Civil Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic team.

Essential Qualifications:

  • The successful applicant should possess a BSc/BEng (Civil) degree.
  • Specialization in geotechnical engineering within a mining context, accompanied by a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive experience in mining and geotechnical engineering is crucial.
  • Proficiency in the design and oversight of tailings storage facilities.
  • Experience with mining infrastructure projects is necessary.
  • Strong project management capabilities will be considered advantageous, as well as experience in conducting site investigations.
  • Building and maintaining sound client relationships is essential.
  • The candidate should be prepared to work autonomously and take full ownership of projects.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PR Eng) will be beneficial.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver engineering contributions from project inception through to design, construction, and project completion.
  • Assist in creating designs that align with client specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the draughtsperson.
  • Prepare and finalize tender construction drawings, bills of quantities, and contract forms.
  • Support proposal development and project summaries.
  • Conduct site monitoring activities.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior personnel.
