Key Responsibilities

The Technical IT Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services across multiple platforms.
  • Performance monitoring and optimisation of cloud environments.
  • Implementing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Collaborating with development teams to support the deployment of new applications and services.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure-related issues promptly.
  • Managing cloud costs and optimising resource utilisation.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud administration or a similar role is expected.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is necessary.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are highly valued.
  • A strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts is required.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is necessary.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
  • DevOps tools and methodologies must be experienced.
  • ITIL and Agile frameworks knowledge is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential.
