About the Job

Zimplats group is a leading mining company that requires a highly skilled and experienced Foreman Electrician_Shafts. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical maintenance activities and ensuring the safe execution of all electrical work.

Job Description:

  1. Supervise and assist the team in the safe execution of all electrical activities.
  2. Maintain and assist electrical workshop, stores and substation.
  3. Attend to callouts with regards to electrical breakdowns.
  4. Control and order of stock for all parts, equipment and materials required.
  5. Construct and commission low/medium High voltage networks.
  6. Install and commission single phase AC and three phase AC machines and control gear.
  7. Inspect maintain, repair and do fault-finding on Medium/high voltage network.
  8. Inspect electrical main substations.
  9. Trouble shooting on Programmable logic controllers.
  10. Operate on low voltage networks.
  11. Write Technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Completed apprenticeship contract and NTC 2 qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as an Artisan.
  • Computer literacy and safety knowledge.
  • Valid medical certificate or must be medically fit.
