Job Title: Vehicle Assembly Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Assembly Engineer to join our Product Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of vehicle assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out responsibility and accountability for zones, including front-end, rear-end, doors, interior, powertrain-chassis, and electric
* Establish and monitor controlled rework solutions in support of series production
* Develop and propose product, process, and part changes for series production to improve build/assembly processes
* Support new model introductions during the series phase by following vehicles through the production process and initiating problem-solving processes as required

Requirements:

* National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics
* Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience within an automotive or engineering environment
* Knowledge and experience in vehicle build and manufacturing process
* Analytical ability and creativity for problem-solving
* Must be computer literate (MS Office)
* Good communication skills, team player, high engagement, and self-driven ability

Added Advantage:

* Good knowledge of vehicle product development processes
* Experience with virtual analysis tools in a CAD environment
* Experience and capability on the assembly and dis-assembly of vehicles

Key Performance Areas:

* Improve quality through the introduction and monitoring of critical vehicle fitment and adjustment processes
* Eliminate reworks and improve vehicle appearances within the Production environment
* Develop and propose product, process, and part changes for series production to improve build/assembly processes
* Support new model introductions during the series phase by following vehicles through the production process and initiating problem-solving processes as required

Responsibilities:

* Responsibility for the assembly product role in a cross-functional team of Engineers
* Analysis and close-out of audit findings by implementing corrective actions with timing and responsibility to improve the overall quality and reduce reworks in line with Plant KPI's
* Develop and propose product and process changes for series production to improve build/assembly processes
* Develop, agree, and implement controlled reworks to out of specification parts/fitment related problems in order to secure stable production and quality output until corrective actions have been implemented

Drive and Escalate:

* Drive and escalate product and process issues into KPM and management meetings to ensure the implementation of corrective actions
